“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant in search of fine pearls. When he found one very precious pearl, he went away and sold all he had and bought it.
God loves metaphors. When I found out how much He loves metaphors, and that He uses them to explain the things of heaven, I loved Him even more.
Growing up with my nose in books, with an affinity for poetry, I always loved how you could use metaphors to describe something indescribable.
Nothing the world has to offer can compare to the Kingdom of Heaven. I searched far and wide, and tried many things and I can definitively say that the Kingdom of Heaven is as Jesus says.
The cost to live in the Kingdom is great, but worth it. The first time I experienced Kingdom, it was liking stepping into a new world, and the more I pay the price by dying daily, the more I value the pearl of great price.
How do you enter the Kingdom of Heaven? Declare Jesus is Lord, and become born anew. Become spiritually alive. You’ll start to see new sights and hear new sounds you’ve never experienced before. You will dream dreams and see visions. You will find healing and restoration.
All it costs is everything you have.
It’s still worth it.
